Your engagement photos are more than just nice pictures – they’re a feeling! They capture the excitement, joy, and love that will carry you into your wedding day and beyond…without the pressure of the big day! This is your chance to celebrate your relationship, capture your connection and get comfortable in front of the camera. To make the most of this exciting season in life, choosing the perfect location for your engagement photos in Brisbane is key. The right backdrop not only complements your style but also adds meaning and personality to your photos. Here is my 6 Best Engagement Photo Locations In Brisbane.
(If you’re yet to propose, these locations will also make an incredible backdrop for a proposal and I can help with your planning and capturing the moment, too! So make sure you reach out if this is something you’re interested in as well.)
1. Brisbane City
If you’re a modern couple who love elevated architecture, night life or even the river and parklands, maybe a city engagement photo shoot is for you! Choose from sandstone buildings and alleyways, your favourite spot to grab a drink or even wander down to the Botanic gardens (or all 3!). We could wander through the city and stop off at some hidden gems along the way. This is a popular option if you’re looking for more of an elegant or ‘vibey’ shoot with fun engagement photos. Some of my favourite spots in the city are Government House or ANZAC square.
2. Springfield grassy hillside
If you’re a lover of light, rolling grassy fields and a nice view as well, I can recommend a secret spot in Springfield (just 30 mins from Brisbane CBD). This location is one of my favourites and will feel like you’re a million miles away without having to travel too far. The grassy fields and hillside light up with the most beautiful golden glow at sunset which will give you a super soft and romantic backdrop.
3. Glasshouse Mountains, Sunshine Coast Hinterland
If you’re an adventurous couple, picture your engagement photos with the Glasshouse mountains as your backdrop. The mountains add that extra sense of adventure and dramatic beauty to your photos. You also have the pine forests nearby for some extra variety if you want to make a stop on the way.
If you’re feeling super adventurous, why not hike up one of the mountains and do you photos at the top!
4. Tamborine Mountain
If stunning views and bushland are your thing, Tamborine Mountain is the place to be. Choose from a favourite picnic spot during your shoot, hike a trail to a waterfall or just enjoy the scenery – you’ll be spoilt for choice for photo spots that reflect who YOU are. Mt Tamborine is also a popular proposal location too!
5. Pine Forest
If you LOVE nature and you want to escape into a dreamy pine forest for your session, there are a few incredible spots I can recommend that are just a short drive from Brisbane. There is a small forest in Springfield, the pine plantation just outside the Sunshine Coast and Pizzey park on the Gold Coast. Let the sun filter through the trees as you walk hand in hand soaking in the fresh scent of the forest.
6. Private Farm, Veresdale Scrub
If you love privacy, sweeping views, animals and rolling hills, you’ll LOVE this secret spot that I have private access to in Veresdale Scrub, only a short road trip from Brisbane. Choose your experience by wandering the paddocks or sipping a glass of wine together as you watch the sun set over the mountains behind. Keep in mind there is a $50 location hire fee…but I promise it’s worth it!
If any of these 6 Best engagement photo locations in Brisbane capture your interest – I’d love to help you plan your perfect engagement session and/or proposal!
